When I first started Scratchpad Secretaries I didn’t have processes in place to welcome new clients. It was all rather adhoc and last minute. It was stressful and extremely time-consuming. I wanted new clients to feel as welcomed, as valued and as important as they are, and yet my communication didn’t reflect that. It was frazzled and all over the map.
One afternoon I put the pieces of the puzzle together and created a full package for them – a system really, for every step of the way. From the first hello to the first invoice, I have it all succinct and together and within quick & easy reach. No messing around, no guess work, and done in the blink of an eye.
Here’s the thing: when I started working with more and more clients, I quickly found out that this systemization of the whole intake process is exactly what they were needing as well. Their businesses were growing at break-neck speed and they just weren’t fulfilling this side of the business. And as someone who had struggled in her own business with the exact same thing – I totally got it. Turns out, what I had to do for my own business to keep me sane I was now able to offer as a service to many other entrepreneurs and solo-CEOs who also felt ‘all over the map’ when it came to getting their customers on board. Now I’d say about 95% of my inquiries are about this exact process. And I’m happy to help. I get it. I know how valuable those first few moments are with a new client. It’s that ‘now or never’ feeling – gotta get going while the momentum is still there!
